In a special on-time unique opportunity, the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) is launching a special marks improvement drive for its alumni ranging from 1990 batch to the 2024 batch. Haryana Board today (October 30) announced that students who passed the Senior Secondary (Academic and Open School) examinations between March 1990 and March 2024 will be allowed to apply for improvement of marks. The Haryana Board graduates who wish to improve their class 12 score can apply online from October 31 through the link given on the official website (bseh.org.in) of the board with a one-time fee of Rs 10000. Interested candidates can apply for improvement in one or a maximum of two subjects. The last date to submit online applications is November 15, 2025. To apply, interested candidates will have to also attach a photocopy of the passed certificate issued by HBSE office earlier from the board office or attested photocopy from the principal of the government/non-government recognised school. The BSEH Chairman said that no application will be accepted after the last date. This special initiative provides a unique opportunity for former students to improve their academic credentials and boost their career opportunities. This is also the first time that the Haryana Board is offering such a chance to its alumni. Haryana Board 2025 result statistics Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) was established in 1969 in Chandigarh (UT), and the first board exam was conducted in 1970 at the Matric (class 10) level. Then, in 1976, started conducting Middle school leaving examination (8th class), and then adopted 10+2 pattern of education and conducted class 12 exams under the new scheme in 1987. The Haryana Board conducts the annual examinations for Class 8, 10 and 12 in the month of March. This year, HBSE announced the Class 10 result on May 17, 2025. This year, a total of 2,71,499 students appeared for the Haryana Board Class 10 Secondary (Academic) Regular examinations. Of these, 2,51,110 students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 92.49 per cent . Similarly, the Bhiwani board declared the Class 12 results on May 13. The Chairman announced that the pass percentage of regular students in the Senior Secondary (Academic) examination was 85.66 per cent , and that of private candidates was 63.21 per cent .
