F1 Star Lewis Hamilton in Distress as Beloved Dog Faces Health Scare

Formula 1 icon Lewis Hamilton revealed a heartbreaking update about his beloved dog Roscoe.
While some may think of this as a regular fur baby, the 12-year-old English bulldog is considered one of the most famous pets across the motorsports scene. In fact, Roscoe even has his own Instagram with 1.3 million followers.
Over the years, he has become a fan favorite, loved for his playful personality and adorable antics.
Unfortunately, with age catching up, Hamilton’s beloved companion has been facing health issues.
In a heartfelt update, the F1 star is asking fans to keep Roscoe in their thoughts and prayers for his speedy recovery. Moreover, he confessed how the past few hours had been “scary” for him.
The photo showed the doggo looking unwell, prompting the iconic racer to write, “It’s been a scary few hours. Everyone, please keep Roscoe in your thoughts and prayers,” alongside the heartfelt image of his four-legged companion at the veterinary clinic.
Hamilton’s Instagram post sparked an outpouring of support from fans around the world.
In a post on Reddit, users expressed sadness over Roscoe’s health emergency and sent their best wishes for his speedy recovery.
“Nooo, this breaks my heart. Poor Lewis, poor Roscoe. I hope Roscoe recovers,” one wrote.
One fan was touched to see “the little pics of them on the wall.”
Besides the beloved doggo, fans are also worried about the British racing driver’s well-being.
“I’m sure many of us have already been very concerned with Lewis’ mental health already and losing a dog is as tough as it gets. For both Roscoe and Lewis’ sake, I hope he pulls through,” a commenter noted.
Earlier this year, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion revealed his dog’s health diagnosis and admitted that the situation had caused him considerable anxiety.
“He’s 12 and a half years old so he’s an old boy,” he told the media before the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, as cited by ESPN, adding, “He had pneumonia, but he’s fine now. But definitely this is a time where every time I get a text message from the lady who’s looking after him, my heart stops for a second.”
Hamilton added that he wants to “cheer him up” by bringing him to his races, which include the British Grand Prix in Silverstone and the Monza circuit.
Despite the health challenges, Roscoe is still spirited and playful, but his age means he tires more easily and rests frequently.
“I was with him before Miami [the race before Imola],” the 40-year-old F1 star shared. “He still wants to play. He still has that kind of spirit, but he sleeps a lot.”
Roscoe’s loyal presence throughout the years serves as a reminder of the deep bond between Hamilton and his adorable pooch.
