One fortunate Formula 1 fan has secured the first ever season ticket made available for the sport. Brandon Burgess has achieved social media stardom this year after setting himself the ambitious goal of attending all 24 races on a tight budget whilst maintaining his full-time employment, maximising just 28 days of annual leave. Burgess has gone above and beyond to travel as economically as possible, starting with a modest budget of just £20,000 to journey around the globe with the F1 circus. His endeavours have brought him plenty of social media recognition, where he chronicles his challenge. And they have also captured the attention of F1 sponsor Heineken , who have now stepped in to alleviate the financial pressure for next year. Thanks to the Dutch beer brand, Burgess has become the first ever fan to possess a season ticket for F1. He and a companion will now enjoy access to all 24 events in the 2026 season simply by presenting the special black carbon fibre card he has received. His travel and accommodation expenses are also covered, meaning he won't need to worry about spending a single penny to witness all the action first-hand. "Attending every F1 race in a single year has always been my dream," said Burgess. "It's been a crazy challenge - juggling my full-time job and being on a limited budget meant that I've had to make some sacrifices such as only visiting some countries for 24 hours, and attending races alone. "But it has enabled me to connect with fans all over the world - many of whom I still chat to. I never thought that when I started documenting my journey at the beginning of the year that so many people would be following along. "And now to be recognised by a brand like Heineken and be the holder of the world's first season ticket for F1 races is absolutely mind-blowing. It's the opportunity of a lifetime and I can't wait to take this journey even further next year and share the experience with other fans." The season ticket cannot be purchased with money, though additional opportunities will arise for supporters to secure one of these coveted cards. Max Verstappen handed the inaugural ticket to Burgess, with Heineken announcing plans to choose another enthusiast next year who will receive the chance to travel throughout the entire 2027 campaign. Heineken has backed F1 for a decade and has now secured a fresh multi-year agreement with the sport. The Dutch brewing giant now serves as title sponsor for five different races, having extended their China and Las Vegas agreements whilst also adding fresh sponsorships for the Grands Prix in Brazil, Madrid and Silverstone for the 2026 season. Particularly, the firm has been eager to champion its alcohol-free products, with a company statement declaring: "Heineken will continue to use F1's global platform to provide messaging around responsible consumption and promote Heineken 0.0 - a premium zero-alcohol product - as part of their responsible drinking programme."
