ExpressVPN, one of the best VPNs on the market, has rolled out two major updates for Apple users – making it even easier to get connected.

The new updates include a fully redesigned iPad app with a tablet-native layout and availability on the Mac App Store for easy installation.
ExpressVPN comes in at number two in our guides to the best iPad VPN as well as the best Mac VPN, with ease of use being a major factor in these placements.

A sharper, smarter iPad experience

Although ExpressVPN’s iPad app has always been straightforward to use, with everything essential in place and working well, it’s now been streamlined even further.

These improvements have made the app easier to use than ever before. You can now connect to your favorite location with just a single tap, and switching servers is easier too.
The iPad VPN app has also been optimized for both portrait and landscape use, with quick access to settings and speed checks.
ExpressVPN arrives on the Mac App Store

Until now, Mac users could only get the app direct from the ExpressVPN website (which is still an option). However, you can now download the ExpressVPN app straight from the Mac App Store.
The new Mac Store availability makes getting set up and implementing updates easier, especially for less-tech-savvy users.
It also improves the VPN’s discoverability, putting ExpressVPN right alongside its Mac VPN competitors.
From Siri to widgets to iPad: ExpressVPN goes all-in on Apple
ExpressVPN has continued its push to build a unified privacy ecosystem for Apple users.

Recently, ExpressVPN added new Siri controls that let you connect to a VPN location using just voice commands. Simply say, “Hey Siri, turn on ExpressVPN,” and it’s done.
You can also now create custom ExpressVPN widgets for both iPhone and iPad, complete with a ‘Connect’ button. This means you don’t even have to open the app to establish a new connection.
Now, with an app designed specifically for iPad, ExpressVPN’s usability reaches a whole new level. The clean, intuitive experience feels more built-into-the-device rather than like a third-party app, aligning perfectly with the seamless ecosystem Apple users expect.
With this update, ExpressVPN now has native apps for all three major Apple devices: iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
