Detroit – If you’re interested in seeing a Bluefin tuna being prepared for dinner, this experience might be for you.
HIROKI-SAN in Detroit’s Book Tower is hosting the From Fin to Feat: Whole Bluefin Tuna Exhibition Sunday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m.
The chef team at HIROKI-SAN, led by Chef de Cuisine Christian Vasquez, will break down an entire 200-pound Bluefin Tuna live. It’s part of a Japanese tradition that highlights both craft and culture.
Guests will be able to eat some of the best cuts of the fish, paired with premium accompaniments such as caviar, sake and more.
Tickets are $125 per person. It includes the live bluefin breakdown, 8 tuna-centric bites, champagne and sake, plus caviar from Regalis Foods. VIP tickets are sold out.
