Many fans had feared for Ferguson’s health and safety, but the 41-year-old ultimately prevailed with a third-round TKO of Salt Papi in the Misfits 22 co-main event—snapping an eight-fight losing skid in the process. Former Bellator star Dillon Danis made his Misfits debut in the fight before, where he submitted opponent Warren Spencer in 15 seconds to win the promotion’s inaugural MMA title. Tate will be taking on Misfits Boxing heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor. On Monday, promoter Mams Taylor confirmed both Ferguson and Danis will fight on the undercard. “Dillon ‘The Crow’ Danis will be on the card defending his belt,” Taylor said on The Ariel Helwani Show. “I’m asking the commission if they will allow him to fight with face paint on,” Taylor said of Danis.
