A former AEW star and champion is seemingly interested in returning to WWE to reunite with AJ Lee. The talent in question, Saraya, was one of The Black Widow's foremost rivals in the Stamford-based company. The Unproblematic Icon broke out in the pro-wrestling industry through her star-making stint in WWE. Following on the heels of a majorly successful NXT run, the erstwhile Paige made her main roster debut on Monday Night RAW in April, 2014, by unseating AJ Lee for her Divas Championship. The two women would proceed to wrestle each other numerous times over the next several months, and even teamed together against The Bella Twins at WrestleMania 31. However, Lee retired from in-ring competition after a trios bout pitting her, Saraya and Naomi against The Bellas and Natalya on RAW the very next night. Years after her own retirement, Saraya herself left WWE and crossed over to AEW in 2022, where she made her return to the squared circle. Her brief run in the Tony Khan-led promotion came to an end earlier this year this past March. The Anti-Diva has been open about being interested in a WWE comeback, and speculations to that end intensified after AJ Lee made her own return after nearly a decade last month. Recently, The Geek Goddess took to Instagram to share a story about one of her past Divas Championship battles against Saraya, reflecting on their long-running rivalry and relationship. The former AEW Women's World Champion recently responded to AJ's post on X/Twitter, echoing Lee's words in the caption and seemingly teasing a future reunion between the two. "My fairy god mother, never over 🖤," wrote Saraya.AJ wrestled her first match in over a decade last month at Wrestlepalooza, where she teamed with her husband CM Punk to defeat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch of The Vision in a mixed tag bout.Saraya's former AEW stable-mate reacted to the star's heartwarming newsSaraya recently took to social media to reveal that one of her dogs, Lobster, had completed a miraculous recovery following a rough six-month-spanning cancer treatment, among other health issues. She expressed pride in her canine companion for their resilience, and posted some heartwarming pictures and clips of the latter as well. The Englishwoman's former AEW stable-mate, Harley Cameron, left a touching comment under Saraya's post, writing: "[heart emojis][heart emoji] he's a warrior !" - Harley commented.
