The funeral of Donald Trump ally and political activist Charlie Kirk is being held this weekend, more than a week after he was assassinated.
Kirk was visiting Utah Valley University as part of his group’s ‘America Comeback Tour’ when he was shot in the neck in front of horrified students.
Kirk leaves behind his wife, Erika, and two small children.
His death has sparked furore around the world, with memorials and moments of silence held from Paris to Australia.
A funeral service with more than 60,000 attendees is set to go forward on Sunday morning in Arizona, where Kirk lived with his wife and young children. Arizona is also the home of his organisation, Turning Point USA.
Here’s all you need to know.

Attendees of the funeral are expected to include President Donald Trump, who will give remarks, Vice President JD Vance, and White House staff.
Other speakers include Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump Jr, who were both close to Kirk.
One noticeable absence is that of Candace Owens, who worked closely with Kirk at Turning Point USA.
She announced she wouldn’t attend the funeral because it’s being organised ‘by the feds’. She’s opted to visit Kanye West instead.
Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and other members of Trump’s cabinet will attend as well.
