Everything to know about WWE WrestlePalooza as John Cena faces Brock Lesnar in farewell tour

WWE’s newest premium live event, Wrestlepalooza , is coming to screens worldwide on Saturday, September 20, for the first time ever, and is set to deliver an action-packed evening. Streaming live on Netflix in the UK and Ireland from 11.30pm BST, this marks the first time the event will be available to viewers in the region and the first Wrestlepalooza under the WWE banner, reviving the legacy of the original ECW series that ran from 1995 to 2000. The event will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The card features a series of headline-grabbing matches, beginning with the Undisputed WWE Championship clash as Cody Rhodes defends his title against Drew McIntyre. The feud has intensified after McIntyre put Rhodes out of action with a brutal Claymore through the announce table, only for Rhodes to return on SmackDown, interrupting a post-match assault and issuing a championship challenge. Fans can expect a fiery showdown between two of WWE’s top stars. John Cena and Brock Lesnar will meet in what promises to be an unforgettable encounter. As part of Cena’s farewell tour, the clash marks the first time the two legends have faced each other since 2014. Lesnar’s surprise return earlier this year, including attacks at SummerSlam and on SmackDown, has escalated the rivalry, making this a must-watch final chapter for both superstars. Wrestlepalooza will also feature a high-profile mixed tag-team match, with AJ Lee and CM Punk taking on Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Becky Lynch. Tensions between the teams have built over recent weeks, including Rollins cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase on Punk to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. AJ Lee returned to SmackDown for the first time in ten years, attacking Lynch, adding further intrigue to the match. The vacant WWE Women’s World Championship will be contested between IYO Sky and Stephanie Vaquer. The title became available following Naomi’s pregnancy announcement. Stephanie Vaquer earned her spot by winning a Battle Royal at Evolution, while IYO Sky had been set to challenge Naomi before the title was vacated, ensuring a competitive and compelling showdown. Fans can also look forward to The Usos, Jey and Jimmy, reuniting to face The Vision – Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The duo has caused chaos alongside WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, including injuring Roman Reigns on Monday Night Raw. WWE General Manager Adam Pearce sanctioned the tag-team bout, promising high drama and explosive action. UK and Ireland viewers can catch the final Friday Night SmackDown before Wrestlepalooza live on Netflix at 1.00am BST on Saturday 20th September. The first Monday Night Raw following the event will also be available to stream on Netflix at midnight on Monday 22nd September, at no additional cost. Looking ahead to the new year, WWE will bring its Road to Royal Rumble tour to the UK, including events in Glasgow , Newcastle, London, Nottingham, and Belfast from 10th to 19th January. Fans will see stars such as Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Tiffany Stratton, Jey Uso, Rhea Ripley, Jade Cargill, Drew McIntyre, Bianca Belair, GUNTHER, and many more. Pre-sale information is available on the website for those eager to secure tickets for the UK shows.
