Eva Longoria To Host ‘NFL Hometown Eats’ For Roku

Eva Longoria is combining NFL with food in a new series for Roku. Longoria, a Dallas Cowboys fan, is to host and exec produce NFL Hometown Eats (w/t) for the streamer. The series is produced by NFL Films, Alfred Street Industries, Hyphenate Media Group, and Skydance Sports and marks Roku’s second deal with the National Football League and the sports arm of David Ellison’s company after it made NFL Draft: The Pick Is In. Launching next year, the three-part show will follow a die-hard celebrity fan and an NFL star as they take to the streets of their team’s city, reliving game-day glory, diving into local traditions, and devouring its most legendary eats. The series is executive produced by Longoria, Cris Abrego, Rachelle Mendez, and Ian Samplin for Hyphenate Media Group; Jane Lipsitz, Dan Cutforth, Dan Volpe, and Nan Strait for Alfred Street Industries; and Jesse Sisgold, Jason T. Reed, Jon Weinbach, and Lauren Gaffney for Skydance Sports. “Sports and food bring people together in a way almost nothing else can,” said Longoria. “At Hyphenate, we’re passionate about telling stories that connect people through culture, community, and shared experience, and NFL Hometown Eats does exactly that. I’m excited to team up with the Dallas Cowboys to kick off the series and show how a city’s love for its team lives in kitchens, game-day traditions, and the unshakable fan loyalty passed down through generations.” “Food and football are two of America’s greatest unifiers. With NFL Hometown Eats, we’re shining a spotlight on the people and places that fuel the spirit of the game — from the legendary local spots to the hometown heroes behind the grill,” added Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Originals, Roku Media.
