EG A/S (a SaaS company from Northern Europe) has opened an 850-seater technology centre at wrkwrk (a premium workspace provider for emerging hubs) in Mangaluru.

Addressing media persons in Mangaluru, Mikkel Bardram, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EG A/S, said his company started with 40 people in Mangaluru and has scaled it to around 850 now.

Stating that he is impressed with the talent available in Mangaluru, he said nearly 60 per cent of the talent are from Mangaluru region. Around half of them are the fresh talents.

The company has been able to get a lot of people locally, he said, adding, “We have seen them being able to learn very quickly and adapt. People with self-confidence and talent is what we are seeing here.”

Mentioning that the company has always focused on creating great workplaces for its people in Europe, he said: “We are doing the same here in India. By partnering with wrkwrk in Mangaluru, we are giving our colleagues an environment that matches our standards, while also tapping into India’s incredible talent to serve the needs of our customers globally.”

Dean Gonsalves, CEO of wrkwrk said EG’s decision to establish operations at ‘wrkwrk Triangle’ highlights the trust and confidence leading IT firms place in wrkwrk’s ability to deliver flexible, fully serviced, and Grade A workspaces.

Designed for scalability, ‘wrkwrk Triangle’ is spanning 100,000 sq ft with over 1,500 seats, he said.
