Germany is set to lose more flight connections after Deutsche Lufthansa AG announced plans to scale back some domestic routes in response to high fees, threatening to leave some regional business centers in Europe’s largest economy at a competitive disadvantage. The airline will reduce frequencies on more than 50 routes within the country next summer, it said on Tuesday, citing a “high cost burden for flights.” Affected routes include those between Munich and Cologne as well as between Frankfurt and Leipzig. More routes are under review, Lufthansa said.
