Estepona Orquidario Botanical Park celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025 with the 10th Feria de Orquideas y Plantas de Coleccion (10th Orchid and Collectible Plants Fair), scheduled for November 8 and 9. The number one orchid event in Spain offers visitors a chance to explore Europe’s largest orchid collection while discovering rare plants and expert cultivation tips. Landmark celebration at Spain’s top orchid attraction Since opening in 2015, the Estepona Orquidario has welcomed over 500,000 visitors, and established itself as an essential stop on any visit to Estepona and the Costa del Sol. Home to more than 3,000 plant species, including 1,500 orchids, it boasts Spain’s largest orchid collection and ranks among Europe’s finest botanical gardens. The fair will celebrate a decade of exhibiting exotic flora, drawing everyone from botany enthusiasts to families with young children. Eight expert exhibitors showcase rare orchids and collectibles The orchid fair in Estepona features eight specialised vendors from Spain and Portugal, offering a variety of collectible orchids, carnivorous plants, and unique botanical crafts to take home: Flora del Tropico (Madrid): Commercial hybrids and species orchids. Pantropica (Malaga): Southeast Asian orchids. Carniloco (Cadiz): Carnivorous plants, especially Nepenthes. Todoplantbulbosas (Sevilla): African collectible bulbs. Eternal Flowers (Lisboa): Handcrafted jewellery from natural orchid flowers. Viveros El Jardin (Valencia): Varied garden and collectible plants. Uniqflor (Malaga): General orchids and aroids. Kokedama (Malaga): Collectible cacti. Held outdoors near Calle Terraza, the fair runs Saturday, November 8, from 10am to 7pm (without a break) and Sunday, November 9, from 10am to 2pm. Entry to exhibitors is free. Hands-on workshops for orchid and carnivorous plant care Improve your skills with practical orchid care workshops and sessions on carnivorous plants: Saturday, 11am: Basic orchid cultivation (Pantropica). Saturday, 5pm: Carnivorous plants (Carniloco). Sunday, 11am: Advanced orchid techniques (Pantropica). Workshops require an Orquidario entry ticket (€5 adults, €3 seniors/disabled, €3 children 7-12, free for ages 0-6) and can seat up to 50 participants.
