Hayley Ladd will captain Wales for the third time on Tuesday. Her previous two matches with the armband were a Euro 2025 qualifier against Ukraine in June 2024 and again on her 100th cap against Italy in February 2025. She was named vice-captain alongside Ceri Holland in October 2024, when Angharad James-Turner was named as Sophie Ingle's successor. Ladd says that Estcourt is someone who is "really easy to work with". "She's so insightful, she always wants to learn," said Ladd. "If she's playing new positions, she just takes it on and she looks like it doesn't faze her. "She's a wonderful person and a great player too." Ladd says she hopes she can "have a positive impact" as she takes the armband. "It's a really nice feeling to be leading the team out," said Ladd. "Haz [Angharad James-Turner] is a great captain and as a group alongside Ceri we're a strong leadership group and we look out for each other."
