Eric Trump went off on live television Monday over the suggestion that his father, President Donald Trump, was weaponizing the Department of Justice against his perceived political enemies.
During a fiery tirade on Rob Schmitt’s Newsmax show, the Trump scion ranted about how he and his dad were actually long-suffering victims of those so-called enemies, even claiming at one point that “they” had tried to break up the president and first lady Melania Trump’s marriage and “separate our family.”
“They came after me like I was a dog,” Eric Trump fumed, his voice rising. “They tried to impeach my father two times. They went after him for a Russia hoax that did not exist. … They de-platformed him. They weaponized every attorney general and every district attorney around the country.”
He later delivered the startling claim:
