Enzo Maresca has provided an injury update on Moises Caicedo and Pedro Neto following Saturday’s game against Wolves. Chelsea beat the Premier League’s bottom side 3-0 at Stamford Bridge to move up to second in the league after 11 games. The Blues failed to find the breakthrough in the first half but second half goals from Malo Gusto, Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto gave them a comfortable win. Enzo Maresca issues Pedro Neto and Moises Caicedo update Maresca once again made a number of changes to the starting line-up with Caicedo and Neto both restored to the team. Neto missed the trip to Azerbaijan, whilst Caicedo was named on the bench, but had to come on after five minutes after Romeo Lavia suffered an injury. The Portugal international was replaced in the second half whilst Caicedo once again completed the full 90 minutes, and Maresca provided an update on the pair after the game. “[Moises Caicedo] was ok, just a kick in his knee in the first half,” he told Sky Sports. “He finished the game, I asked him after the game if he was ok “Pedro Neto and Enzo [Fernandez], they asked for a change because Pedro had a problem with his groin and Enzo had a problem with his knee. “So we need to see how they are now.” Enzo Fernandez to miss international duty Whilst it’s great to hear Caicedo is fine, Enzo Fernandez has withdrawn from international due to pain in his knee which he’s been managing. The midfielder will remain at Cobham and have a well earned rest, which is something that will benefit both him and Chelsea. Maresca has confirmed on numerous occasions this season Fernandez has been playing whilst managing an issue, so hopefully that can be resolved during the break before the next game against Burnley.
