Door-to-door distribution of enumeration forms by booth level officers under Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls would being in Virudhunagar district from November 4, said Virudhunagar District Election Officer and district Collector, N.O. Sukhaputra. Addressing the representatives of recognised political parties about SIR here on Wednesday, Mr. Sukhaputra said that the filled-in and signed applications should be submitted by the residents to the BLOs. The residents need not enclose any documents with it then. If the voters’ names were found in the 2002 voter list, the details should be mentioned in the enumeration form. The process of distribution and collection of the forms would be done till December 4. Those persons whose names have not been included in the voter list and those who have shifted their residences should submit relevant application forms like Form 6, Form 8A and Form 8B. A draft voter list would be published on December 9 based on alll the applications submitted by the residents. Subsequently, application forms for inclusion of names in voter list, raising objection and incorporating correction could be given from December 9 till January 8, 2026. Scrutiny of all those application forms and the enumeration forms would be done till January 31 and the final voter list would be released on February 7. District Revenue Officer, R. Rajendran, Sub-Collector, Sivakasi, Mohammed Irfan, and Personal Assistant (general) to Collector, Firdous, Election Tahsildar, Ramanan, and other officials were present along with the representatives of political parties.
