Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz set for another US date as huge hint dropped

Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz could team up once again at a new tennis exhibition event, following their partnership in the US Open mixed doubles. Despite an early exit in the first round at Flushing Meadows, where they were defeated by Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper, the pair may reunite for another shot at victory. In September, it was announced that the Prudential Center in New Jersey would be the venue for a fresh event named A Racquet at the Rock. Alcaraz was revealed as one of the competitors at the tournament, set to take place on Sunday, December 7, where he will face Frances Tiafoe in a singles match. At the launch of the tournament, it was also disclosed that Emma Raducanu would be competing against Wimbledon finalist Amanda Anisimova. With just a month left until the big day, the organisers have confirmed that mixed doubles will also feature at the event. However, no additional players have been announced for the line-up so far, hinting that Raducanu and Alcaraz, who were rumoured to be dating earlier this year before they both shot down the claims, might be gearing up to join forces once more. Before the US Open mixed doubles, which was played using a shorter set format, Alcaraz expressed his enthusiasm: "I'm super excited about it. "I think it's going to be great. It was an amazing idea for the tournament. I will try to bring my doubles skills. We will try to win, but obviously it's going to be really, really fun." Raducanu also shared her excitement in an interview with the LTA, revealing: "He messaged me and asked me to play. I was very surprised and excited, of course. "It's going to be so much fun. I've known him for such a long time, so many years, so to share the court together is something really special and I really want to do as best as I can to not let my partner down." She also revealed to the BBC : "He asked me earlier on in the year. I was very surprised and honoured and excited. I went through the formality of asking my coach, but of course I was going to say yes." The duo have had differing fortunes on the court this year, despite being two of the most prominent sports stars globally. Alcaraz clinched the titles at the French Open and the US Open, bringing his Grand Slam title count to six. On the other hand, Raducanu only managed to advance to the third round at three Majors, with the former US Open champion bowing out in the second round at the French Open.
