Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has been revealed in a first look at her new rom-com, Next Life, where she stars opposite Edgar Ramírez. The Game of Thrones star landed various roles since the end of the fantasy series. This includes a voice role as Pippa in 2025's The Twits, and a major role as G'iah in Secret Invasion. Now, Deadline has released the first image from Next Life, her upcoming romantic comedy movie. The image sees Clarke opposite her co-star, Ramírez, sitting on a train together. The movie sees Clarke portray Ivy, a girl who experiences possible lives in parallel universes with Ramírez's Diego and Jack Farthing's Noah. Check out the first look image of the movie below: In Next Life, the parallel universes that Clarke's Ivy travels through act as gateways into potential life decisions she could make. In one, there's Diego, who is constantly lifting her dreams and ambitions, no matter what he has to do to support her. In the other, there's Noah, a past love she rekindles a deep connection with. The movie doesn't yet have a release date, with production company Rocket Science showcasing the movie to potential buyers prior to American Film Market next week. The movie has been described as a "crowd-pleaser about following your passions" by Rocket Science CEO Thorsten Schumacher, who praised its London setting, musical influence, and Clarke's lead performance. While the upcoming romantic comedy film has yet to be officiated with a release date, Schumacher's statement signals it'll be another core role for Clarke following Game of Thrones. It's also going to be the first acting role for Femi Koleoso, leader of Ezra Collective, an award-winning British jazz group. Oscar-nominated composer Dan Romer composed the film's music. This isn't the only upcoming project Clarke has in the pipeline, either. She'll have a main role in the Prime Video crime drama Criminal starring Charlie Hunnam, and will be the lead in the spy thriller period piece Ponies for Peacock. Next Life is just one of many major projects she has coming out soon.
