Edition Halloween Offering Brings Protein Treats

If you’re a person of a certain age (and, yes, I am right there with you), then you’re hearing a lot from the health world about protein intake. At least I know I am. For example, if you’re between the ages of 40 and 50, the Mayo Clinic recommends increasing your protein intake to about 70 – 95 grams per day. This is all in an effort to combat losing muscle mass as you age. Because I’m constantly on the go between playing chauffer to my kids, work and generally just making my household run, I always keep a Chomps beef stick nearby in case I need a snack and want to make sure it’s protein.
Chomps has a wide variety of offerings, between flavors and different types of protein (aside from beef there’s also turkey and venison). Honestly, I got hooked on them the first time I did a round of the Whole 30 program, and haven’t looked back. But in order to make sure we all understand that zero-sugar protein snacks can be fun, Chomps is getting in on the Halloween action. Needless to say, I’m here for it.

Chomps is offering up their limited edition Snack-o-Lantern just in time for Halloween snacking. The box features two pumpkin faces and pop-out features that can be colored and displayed with a battery-operated tealight (the light is not included). But it’s what’s inside that really counts. You’ll get 12 Original Beef Sticks and 12 Sea Salt Beef Sticks in the package.
The pack is available to purchase on either Chomps.com or TikTok Shop for $55.99. If you’re feeling like that’s a steep price to pay for 24 pieces of what is essentially really good beef jerky, well, it is and it isn’t. At regular price at Target an 8-pack of Chomps sells for $22.99. that means you’re paying $2.33 per stick with the 24 pack, whereas it’s $2.87 per stick when you buy an 8-pack at Target.
Are Chomps Sticks Healthy?
Chomps sticks fall into the “pretty healthy snack” category, especially compared to a lot of grab-and-go options. But, and this should go without saying, one cannot live on Chomps sticks alone.
They’re made with grass-fed beef (or turkey, or venison), don’t have added sugar, and pack a solid punch of protein in a small package. Plus, they’re portable. You can toss one in your bag, glove compartment or jacket pocket, and you’ve got a satisfying snack that won’t melt, crumble or make a mess. They’re kind of the ultimate emergency food when you’re hungry but don’t want to hit the vending machine.
That said, they can’t replace a balanced diet with fruits, veggies and other whole foods. Think of them as the trusty sidekick rather than the main character—perfect when you need them, but not meant to star in every single meal. Seriously, throw some fruits, veggies, whole grains and other nutrients in there. It’s important.
