Ed Sheeran concert in San Diego 2026

Ed Sheeran has announced his 2026 tour for North America, with San Diego making the list of locations for his concerts across the U.S.
The singer-songwriter, whose album, “Play,” was released last Friday, is calling this stretch of performances the Loop tour. It will begin in June at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and wraps up in November at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
“New stage, new setlist, new tricks,” Sheeran said Thursday in a post on his Instagram account. “I LOVE touring North America, I’ve always felt so much love there since the first gig I did in L.A. and Toronto back in 2010. Can’t wait to be back, see you all there from spring 2026.”
San Diegans can see Sheeran at Petco Park, the home of the San Diego Padres baseball team, on July 21, 2026. The opening act has not yet been announced. A sale for the general public will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, at ticketmaster.com.
Fans who are American Express card members can sign up for access to a pre-sale that begins at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Fans can also register now at EdSheeran.com for early access to tickets using pre-sale registrations powered by Seated. Registered fans will receive a unique one-time code before the artist presale begins at 9 a.m. local time on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Registration is free, but does not guarantee tickets.
There will also be a pre-sale for Padres Insiders, beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25
Sheeran is a four-time Grammy Award-winner and a 17-time nominee. He last performed in San Diego at Curebound’s 2023 Concert for Cures fundraiser at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.
The Loop tour will make two other stops in California in 2026: Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on July 25 and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Aug. 8.
Sheeran described his most recent album on social media as one that “celebrates love, life, culture, exploring, creativity and technicolor.”
“I’ve loved making this record and the last 6 months have been just what I needed to get back into the swing of things – to reheat my love for pop, and popping up,” he shared on Instagram. “It’s an album I’m immensely proud of, and just makes me feel good. I hope it does the same for you.”
