EastEnders’ Kat and Alfie make chilling discovery – and are shocked by who did it

They’re alarmed (Picture: BBC) Halloween may be over for another year, but the chills are not about to stop for the Slater-Moons in EastEnders. Kat and Alfie Moon (Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie) make another starling discovery in the BBC soap next week, believing someone is out to get Kat’s daughter Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan). Earlier this week, fans of the BBC soap saw Zoe spooked when she found a smashed photo of her and Kat, before finding a mysterious video tape from the 1980s, which laid bare secrets from the family’s past. Zoe ended up accusing Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey) of being behind her torment, but the truth starts to unravel when Zoe, Kat and Alfie discover someone has defaced the Slater family photos next week. The fallout from Halloween continues when we return to Walford on Monday, and Kat does her best to support Zoe as Alfie insists he believes there is no foul play involved in the incidents. Meanwhile, Zoe is having another bad day, as after a meeting with her private investigator, her cat then goes missing, and she clashes yet again with Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig). Zoe’s new cat goes missing (Picture: BBC) Kat grows concerned by Zoe’s behaviour (Picture: BBC) But back at the Vic, Zoe, Kat and Alfie are horrified to find the vandalised photos in the living room, leaving them fearing the worst. Sensing how tense Zoe is, Kat decides to sell her share of the limo business to help her raise the funds she needs for the PI to find her son. But back at The Vic, a conversation with twins Bert and Ernie leaves Alfie suspicious about Zoe. He later confronts her, and Zoe is forced to come clean – it was her who was behind the defaced photos. The line between the truth and the lies seems to be blurred for Zoe (Picture: BBC) Zoe’s motives remain unclear for now, and Kat and Alfie are left reeling at the bombshell. However, Zoe insists she was not behind the other recent incidents, claiming someone really is out to get her. Is Zoe telling the truth, or for some twisted reason, has she orchestrated the whole thing? EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 3 November at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
