ANN ARBOR, MI — Early voting is underway in Ann Arbor for the special election Tuesday, Nov. 4. Voters are deciding a 1-mill tax request from the Washtenaw Intermediate School District to fund career and technical education programming in local schools. The proposed tax would be levied for 10 years and generate an estimated $25 million in the first year. No other issues or races are on the ballot in Ann Arbor this election. The city kicked off early voting at four locations Wednesday, Oct. 29, and it continues for four more days through Sunday. Voting hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at city hall and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three Ann Arbor District Library locations: Malletts Creek, Traverwood and Westgate. The city is the only jurisdiction in Washtenaw County doing early voting this election, according to the county clerk’s office. Read about the tax proposal on the ballot.
