Amazon Prime Day officially lands October 7th-8th. As a deals writer, I couldn’t help taking a peek to see if any sales had started early, and I was not disappointed. Right now, a Casper Element mattress is just $474 for a queen at Amazon, that’s a generous 27% discount from an MSRP of $645.
If you’re looking to upgrade to one of the best mattresses, Prime Day is a great time of year to invest, offering hundreds of deals on quality mattresses, like the Casper Element. And you don’t have to wait. I’ve spent the day scouting the early best Prime Day mattress deals for sales that have already landed. These three mattresses are my favorite picks so far.
Casper Element Mattress: twin was $445 now $324 at Amazon
The Casper Element is made from open-cell Flex Foam, which is made to be more breathable than traditional memory foam. The simple three-layer design with a medium firm feel should promote spinal alignment, suiting both back sleepers and side sleepers. Right now, Prime members can get a twin for just $324 (was $445), and a queen is $474 (was $645). We have seen this mattress cheaper: on Black Friday last year at Amazon, a queen was $416. But this is still a great deal for a memory foam mattress. Plus, you get a 100-night sleep trial and a ten-year limited warranty.

EGOHOME Black 12″ Memory Foam Mattress: queen was $329.99 now $314.49 at Amazon
This mattress earned four out of five stars in our EGOHOME Black 12″ Mattress Review, striking a good balance between offering sleepers the traditional hugging feeling that memory foam is known for and providing enough support for back and stomach sleepers. We typically see generous deals on this mattress throughout the year; just a few weeks ago, a queen was down to $299.99. So, if you’re not in a rush, it might be worth waiting until when Prime Day actually starts for a bigger sale.

Siena Memory Foam Mattress: twin was $149.99 now $108.99 at Amazon
This mattress earned four out of five stars in our Siena Memory Foam mattress review. It’s excellent value for money and consists of five layers, while most memory foam mattresses in this price bracket have only three. This bed is on the firmer side, so if you’re looking for a mattress you’ll sink into, it might not be the one for you. Our tester did find that it’s more comfortable for stomach sleepers. Right now, Prime members can get $50 off a queen, bringing the price down to $229, and a twin is down to $108.99, saving you just over $40.
