With just one week before Virginians elect their first woman governor, 7News is hosting a special one-on-one forum featuring Republican nominee and current Lt. Gov. . Democrat declined multiple interview requests, leaving only Earle-Sears to take part in the Sinclair Broadcast Group’s statewide gubernatorial forum streaming on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ET. In tonight's forum, 7News anchor , joined by WSET Lynchburg’s , detailed months of efforts to schedule both candidates for equal airtime, including offers to travel or conduct interviews virtually. While both campaigns were invited, neither could agree on a shared date or location. SEE ALSO | The forum includes pre-recorded questions from Virginians across the Commonwealth, touching on key issues such as abortion, same-sex marriage, immigration, education and the economy. Earle-Sears was given 60 seconds to respond to each question and for her closing statement. The 7News Virginia Gubernatorial Forum airs across Sinclair’s five stations statewide as voters prepare to make history at the polls next week. Early voting ends Nov. 1. Election Day is Nov. 4
