Eagles' Saquon Barkley Raises Eyebrows With Postgame Remark

Saquon Barkley finally had his breakout game on Sunday, racking up 150 yards and a touchdown on the ground while also catching four passes for 24 yards and a score during the Philadelphia Eagles‘ win over the New York Giants. Barkley also left late in the game with a groin issue, but it seemed more precautionary than anything else. PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA – OCTOBER 26: Saquon Barkley #26 of the Philadelphia Eagles looks on during warmups prior to the game against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field on October 26, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Throw in the fact that fellow wide receiver DeVonta Smith said that Hurts didn’t seem to be on the same page as his receivers, and it seemed like a whole lot of trouble was brewing in the City of Brotherly Love. That was especially considering the Eagles dropped back-to-back games after winning their first four. But you do have to wonder about the state of the team based on what Barkley just said here. The Eagles are defending Super Bowl champions and must be respected as such, but you can’t help but think that they are a bit vulnerable, even with their impressive resume through eight weeks.
