Jan Ravnik will not forgive and forget Maksim Chmerkovskiy‘s brutal comments about his ballroom skills anytime soon! As you probably heard, the Dancing With The Stars alum bashed the newcomer last month, saying he has “no business” being on the show since he has “zero foundation technique” in ballroom dancing. He even said he’s only on the show because of his popularity as Taylor Swift‘s backup dancer. The harsh critiques quickly went viral, and Jan, along with his celebrity partner, Jen Affleck, responded with some shade of their own. Following the controversy, Maks apologized to the DWTS newbie, but he did so on his Instagram account, to the public — and not personally to him. Peta Murgatroyd‘s husband asked to meet in person to “bury the hatchet,” believing that if they talked it out, they would leave as “friends.” Yeah, right. In his dreams. Jan wants absolutely nothing to do with Maksim now! A production source told The US Sun on Tuesday that the performer doesn’t buy his “fake” apology, thinking the “video was a joke.” And instead of meeting up, Jan wants Maksim to stay away moving forward. The insider continued: “Jan saw [the video] at rehearsals and quite literally rolled his eyes when he saw that. The fact Maks made a public video to seek attention and clout and didn’t reach out to Jan directly… He thinks that’s very telling of his character. He wants nothing to do with Maks, he wants Maks to stop talking about him and leave him alone.” Yeesh! It’s a good thing Maksim is possibly banned from DWTS! Jan also thinks the ballroom champ is a clout chaser. The source said: “He’s not interested in hashing things out, he just wants to maintain distance and focus on the show. And he thinks Maks is very immature and trying to cling to fame now that he’s off the show.” Oh, we already knew what Jan thought of Maks! He made his opinions about the ex-pro pretty clear following his elimination last week! LOLz! Although Jan has beef with Maks, he is not feuding with the former reality star’s brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, and his sister-in-law, Jenna Johnson, on set. The source shared: “Jan has nothing against Jenna or Val. He doesn’t hold anything Maks says against them. It’s just between Jan and Maks.” Phew! That must be a relief for Jenna and Val! For their part, they “are staying out of it and trying to maintain a good relationship with both sides.” However, the couple wishes Maksim hadn’t trash-talked their co-worker. The source added: “They wish Maks wouldn’t make their jobs so difficult since they’re still on the show and these are still their co-workers. But they know Maks is Maks, there’s no quieting him. They’ll always love him.” They’re family at the end of the day. We get that. But hopefully, Maksim will make things easier for Val and Jenna and keep Jan’s name out of his mouth from now on!
