AEW star Dustin Rhodes recently shared his thoughts on a potential WWE Hall of Fame induction. He has had an incredible career in the global sports entertainment juggernaut as Goldust and is now carrying the Rhodes legacy in AEW. His brother, Cody Rhodes, left the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2022 and has since become WWE's face.The Natural has been sitting on the sidelines for the past couple of months. He underwent double-knee surgery and is recovering from the procedure. In his last match, he lost the TNT Championship to Kyle Fletcher in a hardcore contest. He recently answered a few questions for the fans on social media.A fan on X wanted to see Dustin Rhodes getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The former TNT Champion said he is trying his best and stated that his health comes first."Doing my very best. My health concern is number 1," he wrote.Vince Russo makes a major claim about Dustin Rhodes' gimmickDustin Rhodes entertained fans during the Attitude Era as Goldust. The gimmick was edgy, comical, and clever. He usually confused his opponents with his mind games. While it got over with the crowd a few decades ago, Vince Russo believes it might not work during this era.While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo, the former WWE head writer noted that a character with depth doesn't get over with fans in 2025, and therefore, writing for Goldust would have been difficult today."I'm telling you, right now in 2025, the Goldust character would have never, ever been. They can't write for characters like that. And the more depth to the character, the less chance to them of getting that character over. Without a shadow of a doubt, man," Russo said.It remains to be seen when Dustin will return to the ring.
