With energy bills and prices increasing while temperatures are dropping, shoppers are on the hunt for a cheaper alternative to putting the heating on. Dunelm is selling a range of products that could be the ideal solution. The 1500W Small Square Olive Heater is available for £30 on the homeware retailer's website, and it has been rated highly by more than 60 reviewers, with some hailing it 'powerful'. The heat on this gadget is powered by 1500W and it also has an adjustable thermostat, which makes it ideal for choosing the perfect temperature. A standout feature is its compact design (22.8cm x 22cm x 22.5cm), making it a small but mighty tool to heat up homes. For safety reasons, the heater has a power indicator light function to show when it is on, and it has an additional safety tip-over switch along with overheating protection. Another option for those with a bigger budget is the De'Longhi Slimline Convection Heater White for £114.99 from Lakeland, which comes with three temperature settings, a 24 hour digital timer and a fan mode. It is also said to be suitable for rooms up to 72m³ and costs 82p per hour to run, according to the site. Yimbly, a site owned by the Daily Record's parent company Reach Plc, also has a variety of heaters on sale. This includes the SmartAir Glow Heat Electric Heater that has been reduced to £45 (RRP £49.99), but shoppers can save even more with the discount code AUTUMN10, bringing the price down to £40.50. This heater is said to give customisable warmth, ambient lighting and has safety features, making it the 'perfect way to heat any space'. The 1500W Small Square Olive Heater has a high 4.5 out of five star rating from more than 60 reviews on Dunelm. One person said: "Small but powerful little heater, gives plenty of heat in a short time, very happy.” Another wrote as part of a longer review: "Packs a punch for such a small heater. Ideal to take the chill off a room - preferably with the doors closed too - meaning I can delay putting the heating on or even do without. " While a third commented: "Saw this in store and immediately realised I wanted this heater. Good build quality, not like some of the other flimsy ones out there. Good temperature output, not overly loud." Some had reservations, however, as one person Dunelm shopper shared: "Lovely little heater. I’d like it better if it was a little quieter." Another buyer who has already snapped up the 1500W Small Square Olive Heater explained: "Very stylish and functional heater. It warms up a small room reasonably quick. The only problem is that it cannot be plugged into extension and cannot be placed on carpet, so I need to find ways to place it on a safe place."
