Dubai-based travel influencer and photographer Anunay Sood has passed away. The news was confirmed by his family, who took to his official social media handle to share a statement. With this, they urged fans to respect their privacy during the challenging times. On Thursday morning, Anunay's family shared the news of his demise. "It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing. We kindly ask for your understanding and privacy as we navigate this difficult time. We humbly request you to avoid gathering crowd near personal property. Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace." The news came as a shock to his fans. "What?????????? He is my husband’s favourite blogger and now mine too. is this a prank or something?" wrote an Instagram user. Another person wrote, "You were such a bright light and was grateful to be able to experience that even for a moment. His cause of demise is not yet known. Anunay garnered popularity through his travel vlogs that attracted a huge audience. He had over 1.4 million followers on Instagram and 3,84,000 subscribers on YouTube. As per his official Instagram page, the 32-year-old had explored more than 30 countries across the globe, including places like Australia, France, Italy, Greece, Japan and Hong Kong. He achieved many milestones. In fact, he was named among Forbes India's Top 100 Digital Stars for three consecutive years – 2022, 2023 and 2024. His Forbes profile described him as "a Dubai-based photographer who started his journey by sharing travel photos on Instagram". Beyond being a travel creator, Anunay also ran a marketing agency. Over all these years, Anunay has collaborated with several tourism boards and major global brands such as Switzerland Tourism, Visit Saudi Arabia, the New Zealand Tourism Board, OPPO and Airtel.
