New Delhi: A speeding SUV, reportedly carrying four intoxicated youths, rammed into another vehicle near the Subhash Nagar Metro Station on the streets of West Delhi’s Subhash Nagar late Sunday night. The impact of the collision was so severe that both vehicles were left mangled, and one person sustained serious injuries. Locals rushed to help the injured man before alerting the police, who quickly arrived at the scene. The injured person was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Video from the scene: According to police, the car had a government sticker on it. Around four young men were reportedly inside, and they appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The crash was so intense that both cars were completely wrecked. Police Investigation Underway According to initial findings, the car carrying the four youths was being driven rashly when it hit another vehicle near the Subhash Nagar intersection. “Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver and passengers were intoxicated. Both vehicles have been seized from the spot, and legal action is being taken,” said a police official. Police confirmed that had the collision occurred moments later, the impact could have been far more devastating, as several pedestrians and bikers were on the road at the time. In other news from the national capital, a 20-year-old woman suffered burn injuries in an alleged acid attack by her stalker and his friends near Delhi University’s Laxmi Bai College in Ashok Vihar on Sunday morning. Police said the victim, a second-year student, was on her way to weekend classes when three men on a motorcycle intercepted her. The main accused, identified as Jitender from Mukundpur, was accompanied by Ishan and Arman. According to the victim’s statement, Ishan handed a bottle to Arman, who hurled acid at her. The woman raised her hands to protect her face, sustaining burns on both hands. Police have launched an investigation.
