Drive-by shooting leaves 2 hurt in Sumter, police say

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Sumter Police (SPD) is investigating a drive-by shooting that left two people hurt on Saturday morning.
According to SPD, officers responded to a shots-fired call around 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the Crosswell Drive/Yeadon Street area. Police said an adult and two juveniles were walking in the area when shots were fired from a passing vehicle, injuring the adult and one of the minors.
According to police, the injured minor was taken to Prisma Health Tuomey for treatment, and the adult was treated at the scene. SPD says the injuries were non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The other juvenile was not hurt in the shooting.
Officers are working to identify the vehicle and those involved in the shooting
