A Donegal wedding planner has been named 'Wedding Coordinator of the Year' at the Irish Hotel Awards 2025. Redcastle Hotel and Spa has announced that Margaret Mary McEleney was awarded the title at the awards held at The Johnstown Estate in Co Meath on Monday. Margaret Mary has led the wedding team at the Donegal waterside resort for the past three years and was recognised for her "exceptional dedication, creativity, and commitment to delivering unforgettable celebrations for couples from across Ireland and beyond". General Manager of Redcastle Hotel and Spa Owen McGee said: “We are absolutely delighted to see Margaret Mary recognised with this prestigious national award. “Her passion and professionalism truly embody the spirit of Redcastle, and this award is a testament to her talent and dedication in creating magical moments for every couple.” Speaking about her win, Margaret Mary told: “I’m truly honoured to receive this award. It’s such a privilege to play a part in one of the most important days in a couple’s life. This recognition means the world to us all.” Redcastle Hotel and Spa will host a Wedding and Ceremony Showcase on Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16, 2025, from 11.00am to 5.00pm.
