Donald Trump Gives Health Update After MRI Scan

President Donald Trump has confirmed that he underwent an MRI scan during a recent health check and said it was “perfect.” Trump, speaking to reporters on board Air Force One, said his doctors had provided a “very conclusive” update after his assessment and that he had been highly transparent about his health. “The doctor said some of the best reports for the age. Some of the best reports they’ve ever seen,” Trump said. He added that if there were any negative findings in the results he would “let you know,” saying: “I wouldn’t run. I’d do something.” President Donald Trump listens to a question from a reporter aboard Air Force One at Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, Qatar, Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025. (AP Photo/Mark Schiefelbein) Why It Matters Trump’s health has been in the spotlight in recent months after he was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a benign vein conditions common among older adults. The announcement followed visible swelling in his legs and bruises on his hands. Earlier this month, Trump’s physician also said he was in “exceptional health” following a medical evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Meanwhile, the White House said in July that doctors had found “no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease.” What To Know Earlier this month, Trump underwent a medical evaluation at Walter Reed. The White House physician Sean Barbabella wrote in a report that the president had “advanced imaging, laboratory testing and preventative health assessments.” He added that the tests were conducted as part of the president’s “ongoing health maintenance plan,” and that the results were “exceptional,” including “stable metabolic, hematologic, and cardiac parameters.” Barbabella said that Trump also had a flu and COVID-19 vaccine during the evaluation “in preparation for upcoming international travel.” It is not clear whether Trump’s recent MRI test was a follow-up from his earlier medical evaluation or separate. When asked to clarify the scan, Trump told reporters on board Air Force One: “You could ask the doctors. In fact, we have doctors traveling with us.” Trump also said that his doctors had shared a “very conclusive” overview of his health, and that “nobody has ever given you reports like I gave you.” What People Are Saying Trump said on Sunday: “I got an MRI. It was perfect… I gave you the full results. We had an MRI in the machine, you know, the whole thing and it was perfect. And you could ask the doctors. In fact, we have doctors traveling with us, but I think they gave you a very conclusive. Nobody has ever given you reports like I gave you. And if I didn’t think it was going to be good either, I would let you know negatively, I wouldn’t run. I’d do something. But the doctor said some of the best reports for the age. Some of the best reports they’ve ever seen.”
