Country music legend Dolly Parton has shared a statement with fans, confirming she must postpone her Las Vegas residency due to health issues.
The 9 to 5 songstress, 79, recently had to pull out of an appearance at her Dollywood theme park due to a kidney stone ‘causing [her] problems’.
Now, she’s shared that she is suffering from more health issues and must undergo ‘a few procedures’.
The I Will Always Love You hitmaker wrote on Instagram: ‘I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts.
‘As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.’
Maintaining her usual comedic streak, Dolly added: ‘As I joked with them, it must be for my 1,000-mile check-up, although it’s not my usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!’

She continued: ‘In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see.
‘You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you.
‘While I’ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say.’
Optimistic and reassuring as ever, Dolly added to her adoring fans: ‘And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.’
‘I love you and thank you for understanding,’ Dolly signed off.
Her Vegas run of shows was due to begin on December 4 and conclude on December 13.

On September 17, she recorded a video message for fans, informing them that she was unable to travel to her Tennessee park for an event.
‘I know. I’m here, you’re there, and you’re wondering why that is,’ began the beloved entertainer. ‘Well, I had a little problem. I had a kidney stone, which was causing me a lot of problems.
‘Turns out there was an infection, and the doctor said, “You don’t need to be travelling around this minute. You need a few days to get better.”
‘So he suggested I don’t go to Dollywood today. I want to make this clear, I was looking so forward to it.’
Ending on a positive note, Dolly added: ‘Don’t worry about me, I’m going to be OK. I just can’t do it today.’
The esteemed performer, who got her first solo number one hit in the 70s, has also spoken recently about having to slow down after the death of her husband.

Carl Dean, Dolly’s partner of almost 60 years, sadly died in March, leaving her heartbroken.
Opening up to Khloe Kardashian on her podcast, the singer shared: ‘There’s a few things now—my husband passed away three months ago, so when you ask me if there’s stuff that I started and haven’t finished—several things I have wanted to start, but I can’t do it.’
Despite having plenty of ideas for new material, Dolly couldn’t afford to get ‘that emotional’ right now, so soon after losing her life partner.
‘I will later, but I’m just coming up with such wonderful, beautiful ideas, but I think I won’t finish it,’ she admitted.
‘I can’t do it right now, because I’ve got so many other things, and I can’t afford the luxury of, you know, getting that emotional right now.’
When announcing her husband’s death, a devastated Dolly said that they had spent ‘many wonderful years together’.
‘Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years.’
