Dodgers Dave Roberts Reveals If Shohei Ohtani Will Pitch World Series Game 7

Tyler Glasnow was slated to start Game 7 of the World Series for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Instead, he got the final three outs of Game 6 in the Dodgers’ 3-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was asked immediately after the game by Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal what that meant for the starting pitching assignment in Game 7 on Saturday in Toronto. Roki (Sasaki) wasn’t as sharp. Glas is a guy that has swing and miss stuff, and I just wanted to bet on him. He’s been chomping at the bit to make an impact. We’ll talk to the guys tonight, see how they feel tomorrow.” TORONTO, ONTARIO – OCTOBER 31: Shohei Ohtani #17 of the Los Angeles Dodgers looks on from the dugout in the eighth inning against the Toronto Blue Jays in game six of the 2025 World Series at Rogers Center on October 31, 2025 in Toronto, Ontario. With Shohei, it could be two innings, but it could be four innings. I’m not sure we’re going to slot him. We’re going to have to talk to him first, and where he’s most comfortable.” More news: Dodgers Manager Reveals Disappointing Alex Vesia Update Before World Series Ohtani started Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday. He allowed only two runs through six innings, but immediately allowed a pair of baserunners to begin the seventh inning. When the Blue Jays cashed in both runs against the Dodgers’ bullpen, Ohtani was stuck with the loss. Now, he could get a shot at redemption in the Dodgers’ final game of the season with the championship on the line. Toronto put runners on second and third base against Sasaki to begin the bottom of the ninth inning. Glasnow took over, and immediately got Ernie Clement to pop out softly to first baseman Freddie Freeman for the first out. More news: Former Dodgers, Mets Infielder Dies The next batter, Andres Gimenez, lined out to Dodgers left fielder Kiké Hernández. The veteran was charging hard to make the catch, and he ripped off a one-hop throw to second baseman Miguel Rojas with his momentum carrying him toward the infield. KIKÉ TO MIGGY. The game-ending double play set the stage for a dramatic Game 7. Roberts and the Dodgers can figure out the details of who will pitch the game later. For more MLB news, visit Newsweek Sports.
