Dodgers, Blue Jays Benches Clear in Game 7 of the World Series

The benches cleared in the fourth inning of Game 7 of the World Series on Saturday after Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Andres Gimenez was hit by a Justin Wrobleski fastball. Wrobleski’s 1-and-2 fastball jammed Gimenez, who appeared to jump and wave his hand in the direction of the baseball in an attempt to get hit by the pitch. The pitch didn’t hit him, but next ball thrown by Wrobleski did hit Gimenez. Relievers from both bullpens ran onto the field. Umpires warned both teams about retaliating before the two teams retreated. The Blue Jays lead the Dodgers, 3-1.
