Los Angeles Dodgers future Hall of Fame pitcher Clayton Kershaw was part of a thrilling Game 7 victory to earn his third World Series ring as part of the final MLB game of his illustrious career. The second opportunity came with one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the frame. Kershaw had a rough outing towards the end of NLDS Game 3, but was a crucial part of Game 3 of the World Series, one that ended in the 18th inning. He entered a bases-loaded jam in the 12th inning of the marathon of a contest and got out of the nerve-racking situation. Amid the constant critiquing of the Dodgers’ payroll this season, especially after making it to the World Series, Kershaw spoke on some of the things that a front office can’t buy. “You know everybody talks about the Dodgers and how much money we spend and how we’re supposed to do this and all that stuff,” Kershaw said. “But I tell you what, man – you can’t buy the character and the heart and the willingness to do things that other people would not. All the way down our lineup.” More news: Blue Jays Veteran Declares Free Agency Intentions After World Series Loss For all the latest MLB news and rumors, head over to Newsweek Sports.
