Drugs like Ozempic, known collectively as GLP-1 receptor agonists, have become more widely used in recent years. Though they are approved for treating diabetes and aiding weight loss, some people take them for other reasons, like addiction, or have found additional benefits, like improved heart health. Times Opinion is looking for people who use or have used GLP-1s for reasons other than diabetes or weight loss, or people who started using them initially for those purposes but discovered unexpected health effects. We invite readers to share their experiences below for a forthcoming project on GLP-1s. An editor will contact you before publishing any personal information included in your submission. The Times is committed to publishing a diversity of letters to the editor. We’d like to hear what you think about this or any of our articles. Here are some tips.
