On Monday, the 27-year-old shared the news in a post on his Instagram page. “Today I celebrate one of the most important milestones but for a long time, I struggled with my faith along the way, like so many of us do. I intrinsically felt like I had to be perfect until I was ready for this step, but God doesn’t call us to be perfect…he says come as we are. Thank you, God, for revealing yourself to me and thank you Jesus. Like the good book says, seek ye first the Kingdom of God and everything should be added unto you,” the post read. Several prominent entertainment figures flooded the comments section with emojis and good wishes, including Silent Addy, Fyahman, ZJ Ice, Chaddy G, Naomi Cowan and Moyann. Tosh Alexander said ‘OMG! Congrats, BIG MOVE”, while rapper Zac Jone$ wrote “Congrats my brother, God is Good”. “God first inna real life,” wrote dancehall artiste Joe Grime, while Miss Universe Jamaica 2023 Jordanne Lauren Levy wrote “Amazing, so happy for you”. Music producer of the hit Mawnin Sir by Govana, Shakespeare and D Major, also responded on the thread with emojis. Russ Buss finished in second place in the 2017 edition of the SunCity High School competition. He learnt how to play the guitar, piano and drums at an early age. “I went to Campion College, and I did the sciences up to fifth form then switched to Economics as well as digital media and computer science in sixth form. I am now in my second year of study at CARIMAC where my major is Integrated Marketing Communications and minor in Entertainment and Cultural Enterprise Management,” Russ Buss told the Jamaica Observer in late 2019.
