DJ Calvin Harris' $22 Million Court Battle With Ex Accountants Heats Up (Excl)

The accounting firm used by countless celebrities, Thomas St. John, fired back at DJ Calvin Harris’ claims that it stole $22 million from him, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
A rep for Thomas St. John tells Us, “Because confidential arbitration matters were deliberately leaked to the press, we are left with no choice but to respond publicly with the truth. This calculated and underhanded disclosure of confidential documents was a clear attempt to damage the reputation of Thomas St. John.”
The rep continued, “The facts speak for themselves: not a single dollar has been misappropriated, all investor entitlements remain intact, and the project continues to advance within the normal entitlement timeline.”
Per the spokesperson, the “landmark development” at the center of the legal drama between Harris and Thomas St. John is expected to “approach a $1 billion valuation” and will deliver “extraordinary benefit to the Hollywood community as well as to its investors.”
The development sits on the corner of Sunset and Highland and will “bring more than 700 residential units” along with “thousands of square feet of outdoor, creative, and retail space.”
The rep admitted the “process has naturally taken longer than initially projected due to unprecedented interest, macroeconomic conditions, and significant city red tape.” However, they said the development remains “firmly within its promised schedule.”
Harris, 41, is “one of nine investors who knowingly signed investment agreements and, on the record, sought to increase his participation beyond his original commitment by doubling it. Any suggestion to the contrary is categorically false,” per the spokesperson who said the company would continue to take “every necessary step to set the record straight and to ensure that these malicious, bad-faith attacks are recognized for what they are: entirely without merit.”
In court documents filed on September 12, the “Feels” artist accused his former financial advisors at the firm Thomas St. John of stealing $22 million. The firm had worked with Harris for 13 years.
The DJ claimed Thomas St. John had him invest in a project called CMNTY Culture Campus, which was envisioned as a 460,000 square foot development with recording studios, artists’ lounges and office space.
The firm started to develop the project in 2020. The DJ claimed the development needed a cash infusion in 2023, which is when the firm decided to loop him in.
He claimed he was told to sign paperwork but not informed of the details of the project. In the petition, first reported by Variety, Harris claimed he provided a $10 million loan and an additional $12.5 million in equity.
Per the court documents, Harris claimed he does not know where the money went. His lawyers alleged the project “has been, at best, a complete boondoggle, and, at worst, a complete fraud.”
As Us previously reported, Harris shut down rumors he was feuding with Miley Cyrus in August. Harris and Cyrus recorded a song called Ocean but never released it. The DJ recently teased the song being released but with another singer named Jessie Reyez. When asked by fans on social media what happened to the track with Cyrus, he said, “I dunno” but denied there was any beef.
