Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani star Megha Ray recently showed that true dedication in acting goes beyond glamour. While shooting for an intense action sequence, the actress hurt her ankle but chose to keep shooting. While she was punching and running fast, her sari got stuck under her feet, making her trip and her ankle got twisted. She applied a bandage in her ankle and continued performing for another hour or two, as she was determined to complete the scene.
Megha explained that she wanted to respect the time and effort of the entire crew and not let their hard work go to waste. Because she was determined to finish the shoot, her injury got more serious. After the filming was done, a doctor checked her and advised her to continue working with her ankle properly bandaged and supported by sports shoes.
How Megha Ray Got Injured Shooting An Action Sequence?
Recalling the incident with ETimes, Megha explained, “During an action sequence on the set of Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, I had to throw punches and run at full speed. It was dark and somehow my sari got tangled under my feet. I tripped badly and landed on my ankle in the wrong way. It twisted and the pain was massive. Still, I tied a crepe bandage around it on set to support myself and continued shooting for another hour or two.”
“I was so injured, but still, I wanted to finish that scene-it was a big challenge for me. I always feel that if something has to be done today, I should try to complete it the same day. During a shoot, so many people’s time and effort are involved, and I didn’t want everyone’s hard work to go to waste just because of me. By the time I finished, my ankle was swollen to almost double its size. The doctors treated it, and now I’m working with my ankle bandaged, wearing sports shoes under my sari to manage,” Megha Ray added.
Co-star Suraj Pratap Singh Help
Megha shared how her team supported her after the injury and made things easier on the sets of Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani. She mentioned that her co-star Suraj Pratap Singh helped her by carrying when she couldn’t walk properly. The director arranged a wheelchair so she don’t have to move long distances, as her makeup room was far. From the hair and makeup artists to the rest of the crew, everyone showed their support throughout the shoot. Megha added that she is now relying on medicines and wearing sports shoes to keep her ankle steady.
