The District 3 basketball playoffs kicked off on Friday night, and plenty of Central Pa.’s top stars shined bright. Here’s a sampling of those individuals from games covered and submitted to PennLive. (Scoreline links route to full game recaps) Central Dauphin 7, Cumberland Valley 6 (District 3-6A) Isaac Hodgson, RB, Central Dauphin — Scored the game-tying touchdown with three seconds left. Robby Jimenez, K, Central Dauphin — Kicked the game-winning extra point. Cedar Cliff 35, Cedar Crest 6 (District 3-6A) Owen Anastasi, WR-DB, Cedar Cliff — Pulled down four receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown. Also threw for a touchdown. Jalen Hinton, QB, Cedar Cliff — Efficient 11 of 15 passing for 172 yards and four touchdowns. Will Kocher, LB, Cedar Cliff — In on 10 tackles and produced three sacks. Alex Otero, RB, Cedar Cliff — Picked up 117 rushing yards on 24 carries. Blake Secrest, DE-TE, Cedar Cliff — Recorded three sacks, deflected a pass that was intercepted, and caught a TD pass. Isaiah Zimmerman, RB-LB, Cedar Crest — Accounted for 176 yards (127 receiving) and posted the Falcons’ lone touchdown. Mechanicsburg 35, Red Land 21 (District 3-5A) Noah Apple, QB, Mechanicsburg — Ran for 111 yards and a touchdown and threw for two more. Rece Miller, RB, Mechanicsburg — Ran for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Collin Stare, DL, Mechanicsburg — Had a sack and multiple tackles-for-loss. Cason Hoffman, WR, Red Land — Had six catches for 129 yards. Quinlin Shearer, QB, Red Land — Rushed for two touchdowns and threw for 206 yards and another score. Spring Grove 34, Muhlenberg 0 (District 3-5A) Davis Baum, QB, Spring Grove — Finished with 121 passing yards off of just seven attempts, threw for a touchdown and rushed for two. Kade Gibbs, RB, Spring Grove — Logged 100 rushing yards and scored a touchdown. Brody Redding, RB, Spring Grove — Led the Rockets in rushing yards with 122 and scored a touchdown. Middletown 21, Eastern York 19 (District 3-4A) Quinn Bramble, QB, Eastern York — Completed 19 passes, two of them for touchdowns. Harrison Ortiz, QB, Middletown — Threw for 110 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Paul, RB, Middletown — Rushed 18 times for 202 yards and a touchdown. Luis Roman, RB, Middletown — Rushed 14 times for 107 yards and a touchdown. Trinity 35, Schuylkill Valley 7 (District 3-3A) Maddox Jarzynski, WR, Trinity — Scored four touchdowns: three receiving and one blocked punt returned for a TD. Caught six passes for 118 yards. Mason Boyer, QB, Trinity — Completed 11 of 17 passes for 195 yards and threw for three touchdowns. Brandon Harris, RB, Trinity — Rushed 15 times for 105 yards, including a 1-yard TD. Added two runs of over 30 yards. Bermudian Springs 25, Big Spring 24 (District 3-3A) Chase Fry, QB, Big Spring — Threw 5-of-10 for 93 yards and a touchdown, rushed nine times for 68 yards. Grady Hope, RB, Big Spring — Rushed 23 times for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Ayden Martinez, WR, Big Spring — Caught two passes for 26 yards and a touchdown. Landen Mayer, K, Big Spring — Kicked a 26-yard field goal and went 3-for-3 in PATs. Ashton Peffer, WR/CB, Big Spring — Recorded an interception and had one catch for 23 yards. Brayden Heller, RB/LB, Bermudian Springs — Rushed six times for 33 yards, caught six passes for 60 yards and recorded an interception. Josh Hubbard, WR, Bermudian Springs — Caught three passes for 23 yards and the game-winning touchdown. Lane Hubbard, QB, Bermudian Springs — Threw 19-of-27 for 194 yards and three touchdowns against one interception. Mason Lilley, WR, Bermudian Springs — Caught four passes for 40 yards and two touchdowns. Steel-High 46, Columbia 22 (District 3-2A) Jaishawn George, RB, Steel-High — Rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries. Jerome Ross III, RB, Steel-High — Ran for 144 yards and a touchdown, and added a receiving touchdown. Kayden Cole Stephens, QB, Steel-High — Threw two touchdown passes and ran for 83 yards and another score. Cameron McClair, QB, Columbia — Totaled 127 yards and scored two touchdowns: one rushing and one passing. Halifax 30, Lancaster Catholic 14 (District 3-2A) Teegan Carroll, RB, Halifax — Ran for 125 yards and scored two touchdowns.
