District 3 football top performers from Friday, November 8

The District 3 playoffs continued on Friday night, and plenty of top stars had big games on the slate. Here’s a rundown of some of those, as submitted to or covered by PennLive. Trinity 42, Annville-Cleona 21 Maddox Jarzynski, WR, Trinity — Jaryznski scored four first-half touchdowns – three receiving and an interception returned for a TD – to lead the Shamrocks. Mason Boyer, QB, Trinity — Boyer threw three first-half touchdowns. Brandon Harris, RB, Trinity — Harris, a sophomore, ran for touchdowns of 17 and 59 yards in the second half. Jonathan Moran, RB, Annville-Cleona – Moran scored two of A-C’s touchdowns — an 85-yard kickoff return and 16-yard toss in the second quarter. Manheim Township 49, Hempfield 7 Daryus Dixon, WR, Manheim Township — Dixon accounted for four touchdowns — including three receiving scores — and picked off three passes, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Jack Kenneff, QB, Manheim Township — Kenneff threw three touchdown passes from 43, 34 and 61 yards for the Blue Streaks. PJ Myers, RB, Manheim Township — Myers, elevated in the absence of injured RB Marcos Fernandez, supplied two second-half TDs for MT. Steel-High 52, Halifax 13 Jerome Ross III, RB, Steel-High — Ross led the Rollers rushing attack with 110 yards and four touchdowns. Quann Padgett, DL, Steel-High — Padgett blocked a punt and returned it 34 yards for a touchdown. Jaishawn George, RB, Steel-High — George rushed for 72 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown run. Susquehanna Township 50 ELCO 13 Torin Evans, QB, Susquehanna Township — Evans threw for two touchdowns and ran for another in the blowout win, only playing a half of action. Jarrett Kern, WR, Susquehanna Township — Kern recovered a fumble for a score, tallied a pick-six and caught a touchdown pass in the win. Brinley Donmoyer, QB, ELCO — Donmoyer rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Bishop McDevitt 47, Mechanicsburg 7 Maurice Barnes, RB-LB, Bishop McDevitt – Barnes had 63 rushing yards and scored three times, all while leading the defense that limited Mechanicsburg to 166 total yards. Drake Dawson, DE, Mechanicsburg – Dawson’s blocked punt and recovery in the end zone accounted for the Wildcats’ lone touchdown vs. the Crusaders. RJ Duffy, LB, Bishop McDevitt – Duffy was in on nine tackles as opponent Mechanicsburg did not score an offensive touchdown in the quarterfinal at Rocco Ortenzio Stadium. Aidan Grella, K, Bishop McDevitt – Grella kicked two 42-yard field goals in the second quarter and converted five PATs. His only punt of the game traveled 41 yards. Patrick Wright, DB, Bishop McDevitt – Wright pitched in a 47-yard fumble return for a touchdown in McD’s lopsided win over Mechanicsburg. Central York 42, Cedar Cliff 7 Legend Johnson, RB, Central York — Johnson rushed for 13 times for 112 yards and a touchdown in a 42-7 victory over Cedar Cliff in the District 3 Class 6A quarterfinals. Brooklyn Nace, QB, Central York — Nace completed 13-of-17 passes for 171 and five touchdowns in a 42-7 victory over Cedar Cliff in the District 3 Class 6A quarterfinals. Alex Otero, RB, Cedar Cliff — Otero rushed 23 times for 100 yards and a touchdown in a 42-7 loss to Central York in the District 3 Class 6A quarterfinals. Brendyn Smith, WR, Central York — Smith caught six passes for 115 yards, including five touchdown passes, in a 42-7 victory over Cedar Cliff in the District 3 Class 6A quarterfinals. Wilson 28, York High 14 Mike Glover, WR, Wilson — Glover scored two TDs – one receiving, one rushing – for the Bulldogs. Mason Young, Wilson, QB — Young threw for three touchdowns and no interceptions on 10-for-15 passing – logging 174 passing yards in the Bulldogs’ 28-14 District 3 6A quarterfinal win over York High. Shavane Anderson, York High — Anderson was a workhorse, rushing 40 times for 247 yards and a touchdown. Twin Valley 55, West Perry 15 Drew Engle, RB, Twin Valley — Engle set the Raiders’ career touchdowns record during his five touchdown night that included three rushing TDs, an interception return for TD and kickoff return for a score. New Oxford 31, Spring Grove 26 Kayleb Allen, ATH, Spring Grove — Allen caught five passes for 59 yards and a touchdown for the Rockets. Davis Baum, QB, Spring Grove — Baum threw 20-of-37 for 262 yards and two touchdowns against three interceptions, and rushed 14 times for 68 yards and a touchdown. Alex Brown, RB/LB, New Oxford — Brown rushed 20 times for 95 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Eisenhart, WR/CB, Spring Grove — Eisenhart pulled down seven passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. Everett Ernst, RB/LB, New Oxford — Ernst punched in a 1-yard rushing touchdown for the Colonials. Luke Frey, QB, New Oxford — Frey threw 10-of-16 for 134 yards and a touchdown, and he ran in a 5-yard touchdown as well. Brody Holmes, WR/CB, New Oxford — Holmes caught three passes for 65 yards and a touchdown, recorded two interceptions and was highly efficient in kick returns. Matthew Lavallee, K, New Oxford — Lavallee kicked a 27-yard field goal and went 4-for-4 in PATs. Nolan O’Brien, OT/OLB, Spring Grove — O’Brien recorded an interception for the Colonials. Brody Redding, RB/SS, Spring Grove — Redding rushed 14 times for 72 yards and a touchdown. West York 20, Middletown 0 Tayvon Thomas, RB, West York — Thomas scored the games final two touchdowns in the second half to put the game out of reach, rushing for two touchdowns off of 121 rushing yards and 13 carries in the Bulldogs’ 20-0 District 3 4A quarterfinal shutout over Middletown. Jensen Ferber, QB, West York — Ferber threw for a steady 11-for-14 through the air and tallied 110 yards without any interceptions, while rushing for 32 yards and a rushing touchdown in the Bulldogs’ 20-0 District 3 4A quarterfinal win over Middletown.
