Disputed house promised by ’’Sanjik’’ still not given to the orphanage - Qalampir.uz

Earlier, it was reported that in Tashkent, a groom-to-be fraudulently sold a girl’s house, and the buyer — well-known blogger and entrepreneur ’’Sanjik’’ (Sanjar Karimov) — decided to donate the $240,000 property to an orphanage following public discussions. However, it has now been revealed that the blogger has not yet submitted the notarized documents confirming the transfer of ownership. This was reported by the Tashkent city department of the National Agency for Social Protection. According to the information, on October 24 of this year, Sanjar Karimov visited Orphanage No. 22 and submitted an application expressing his intention to provide his house for free use. During the meeting, the institution’s director informed the blogger that the orphanages are fully funded by the state, and children deprived of parental care are provided with housing, food, clothing, education, and medical services in accordance with established procedures. It was also noted that the notarized documents confirming the transfer of the property had not been submitted. ’’The No. 22 Orphanage is one of only two such institutions remaining in the republic. In recent years, more than 10 similar institutions have been closed, and the children from those homes have been placed in about 300 family-type orphanages. In these homes, children are raised in conditions close to a family environment, under guardianship, care, or in foster families,’’ the report said. It is further noted that since guardianship matters have been transferred to the Agency, reforms have also begun in ’’baby homes.’’ While there were more than 10 such institutions previously, there are now only four remaining in the country, with the main focus on placing infants into families. ’’The Agency respects all good-faith initiatives aimed at supporting children. However, it should be emphasized that it is not necessary to donate real estate or other material assistance to state institutions, as their operations are fully funded by the state budget,’’ the report added. It is reported that today, the state policy in the field of child protection is aimed at gradually transitioning from the system of orphanages to family-based forms of care. Through this, conditions are created for every child to grow up in an environment of love and care — in a family, under guardianship, or in foster care. This represents a modern and humane approach, with the child’s rights and well-being at its core. In August 2024, a man born in 1997, identified as Sh.R., gained the trust of a woman born in 1999, identified as Sh.A., by claiming he would marry her. However, before the wedding, he deceitfully convinced her to mortgage her house under the pretext of having financial issues and promised to marry her once they were resolved. Instead, he sold the house to another citizen, blogger, and businessman ’’Sanjik’’, for $240,000. Following this incident, a criminal case was initiated against Sh.R. under Article 168, part 4, paragraph ’’a’’ of the Criminal Code (fraud), and he was placed in custody as a preventive measure. Moreover, during the preliminary investigation conducted by the Investigation Department under the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate, it was discovered that Sh.R. had also committed several other fraudulent acts against different individuals. Investigative actions on all the cases have been carried out, and upon completion of the investigation, the collected documents were submitted to the Mirzo Ulugbek District Criminal Court along with an indictment for legal proceedings. Currently, court hearings on the criminal case are underway.
