The latest Disney Store-exclusive drop is the definition of a collector’s dream. Introducing: Mickey and Minnie Mouse Replica Plush Dolls, recreated from Charlotte Clark’s original 1933 patterns, available while supplies last at disneystore.com.

For some background, Charlotte Clark was the seamstress behind the first-ever line of Mickey Mouse dolls. Starting in 1930, Clark and her small team of doll makers sewed each plush character by hand. The now-treasured pieces of history provided the exemplar model of product quality and character likeness, according to Walt and Roy Disney, who, as expected, held incredibly high standards for their merchandise.

In fact, because of the immense time and care that went into each handmade doll, in 1932, Disney formed a partnership with a New York City company that provided sewing patterns based on Clark’s designs for consumers to create their own authentic plush dolls.

Cut to 2012, Clark’s original 1933 patterns were acquired by the Disney Archives. And cut to Sept. 2025, the Disney Store has dropped a limited release of Mickey and Minnie Mouse collectible plush dolls based on these original patterns.
