Disney Has Lost Almost $60 Million in YouTube TV Dispute

Disney networks have been dark on YouTube TV for almost two weeks now, with no deal in sight ahead of Disney’s Q4 FY25 earnings call. Disney YouTube TV Blackout Drags On Morgan Stanley research analyst Ben Swinburne calculates Disney is losing $30 million a week. The blackout began just before midnight on October 30, so their losses total almost $60 million 13 days later. Meanwhile, YouTube TV is reportedly losing subscribers. They are now offering customers a $20 credit, although it is not automatically added to their accounts. Subscribers will receive an email with information about the credit, and they have to go to this link to claim it. Disney’s Q4 FY25 earnings call will be at 8:30 a.m. ET / 5:30 a.m. PT on Thursday, November 13, 2025. The company would probably like a deal in place by then, but this looks unlikely.
