Disney and Fubo have completed the sale of Hulu Live TV. This combines Fubo’s business with Disney’s Hulu + Live TV business. Hulu Live TV The merger, which was signed at the beginning of 2025, now offers consumers more than 55,000 live sporting events, and entertainment-focused programming offerings from Fubo and Hulu + Live TV. This partnership creates the second largest virtual paid television provider in the U.S. There are close to 6 million subscribers in North America, falling behind Google’s YouTube TV, which has 10 million. According to the press release, Fubo and Hulu + Live TV will continue to be available to consumers as separate and distinct services. Consumers will have multiple plan options at various price points. Hulu + Live TV will continue to be streamed in the Hulu app and offered as part of an entertainment-focused bundle with Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN Unlimited. Fubo will continue to serve viewers in the Fubo app. Additionally, the Fubo advertising sales group will transition to Disney’s advertising sales organization. At the time the transaction closed, Disney now holds a 70% stake in the company, while Fubo holds 30%.
