The animal residents of Walt Disney World Resort celebrated Halloween with their own jack-o’-lantern toys and treats. Disney Animals Celebrate Halloween Disney Parks and Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science, and Environment Dr. Mark Penning shared pictures and video of various animals enjoying their carved pumpkins. On the savanna of Kilimanjaro Safaris, a giraffe got a Tree of Life pumpkin while a rhino sniffed out a traditional jack-o’-lantern. Penning wrote, “Our animal nutrition team knows how to make Halloween magical for every species.” The pumpkins provide enrichment for the animals and something fun for guests to see. The animals can chew, peck, roll, and destroy the gourds. In addition to the creatures at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, animals of The Seas at EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Tri-Circle-D Ranch all got pumpkins to play with.
