Television actor Dipika Kakar recently opened up about her battle with liver cancer. In a recent podcast episode of LOL with Haarsh Limbachiyaa and Bharti Singh, she revealed that 22% of her liver was surgically removed after the diagnosis. The Sasural Simar Ka star shared that she is currently awaiting reports from a recent scan to determine if she is cancer-free. Kakar revealed that during the surgery, doctors removed nearly 11cm of the tumor from her body. She said, In the first week of November, I'll be undergoing my FAPI scan again. A FAPI scan is similar to a CT scan, but it's specifically used to detect cancer cells in the body. It helps doctors understand how far the cancer may have spread before starting surgery or treatment. Kakar also revealed that her doctors were surprised by her diagnosis, given her healthy lifestyle. She said, Despite all their years of experience, they couldn't explain how this happened to me. Every doctor I consulted said the same thing - there's simply no clear reason. Of course, they mentioned there might have been some kind of toxicity in the body that led to it, but only Allah truly knows. We can only make assumptions. Kakar also revealed that her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, has been a constant source of support during her treatment. She said, Mera koi test nahi ho sakta without Shoaib. It's only possible when he is with me. Shoaib always holds my hand or touches my feet during any test.
